and meaningful use of technology.
Shyamlata Memorial Public School’s classrooms help teachers to ensure that every child in the class
is learning, given the wide diversity of learning styles in the classrooms. Smart Classes simplify the
problems of teaching abstract curriculum concepts that are difficult for students to visualize or
relate to, through the provision of three-dimensional, interactive multi-media modules. It also
enables teachers to instantly assess and evaluate the learning achieved by their students in class
with innovative use of technology.

Curriculum And Syllabus

The curriculum is designed to ensure all record development of the child personality. It follows the
norms as per the directions of SLMPS, NCERT and CBSE. Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation
is done from pre-primary till secondary level.

Curriculum is divided into three terms for the students.
Pre-Primary till fourth standard and continuous evaluation is done of curricular and co-curricular
activities. Our approach is child oriented. A variety of activities are offered for the enhancement of
physical, mental, social, emotional & language skills.
The Curriculum ensures that mental development of child takes place as per the age of the child.

CCE (Continuous & Comprehension Evaluation) is done as per CBSE norms. The curriculum is divided
in two terms:

  •  Ist TERM April to September FA1 + FA2 & SA1
  •  IInd TERM October to March FA3 + FA4 & SA2

In accordance to this, we at SLMPS foster knowledge by perceiving assessment as an integral part of
the overall framework of the teaching and learning process. Assessment, here, is incorporated into
classroom practice and so, tends to lose its individual identity, getting subsumed into the
instructional process.
Therefore, we embrace both Formative Assessment & Summative Assessment, where the former is a
tool used by the teacher to continuously monitor student progress in a non-threatening , supportive
environment involving regular, descriptive feedback, providing a chance for the student to reflect on
their performance, take advice and improve upon it and the latter, which is carried out at the end of
a course of learning, measures how much a student has learned from the course and is a graded test
marked according to a scale or set of grades.
